This is not to say that the U.S., in its current state of dysfunction, is not engaged in a coordinated disinformation campaign across multiple countries. With regard to Syria, Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry (both of whom have been involved in a deliberate policy of targeting North Korea, as demonstrated by their frequent calls to Assad as a “caliphate”) have been engaging in an effort to make sure that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is allowed access to the nuclear weapons and chemical weapons that are a part of his arsenal, which the international community has condemned and are expected to be used in an attack on U.S. interests.
