2015 rover land

The village of Teriberka gained worldwide fame thanks to Andrey Zvyagintsev’s film “Leviathan”, which won the international Golden Globe Award and drew the attention of the general public to the problems of the northern regions. The Great Land project, inspired by the theme raised in the film, is designed to give impetus to the development of small regions of Russia, help in solving a number of acute social problems and, in general, raise the standard of living of the population. The transformation of the village of Teriberka was the first stage in the implementation of the Great Land project.
The total length of the expedition route, which passed from Moscow to Teriberka with stops in Medvezhyegorsk and Murmansk, was 4387 km. Representatives of LavkaLavka, public figures and journalists took part in the rally. The automobile partner of the New Teriberka project was Jaguar Land Rover, which provided 5 SUVs of the Discovery family, fuel, communications and navigation equipment.
The last 40 kilometers of the road to Teriberka pass through a snow-covered primer, but Land Rover SUVs did an excellent job with this task. Legendary cross-country ability, a luxurious interior and a spacious car trunk – all this allowed the expedition to reach the end point of the route without any problems. The expedition members noted the efficiency of Discovery diesel engines, with which it was possible to cover really long distances at one gas station. In turn, thanks to the Discovery Sport panoramic roof, passengers in the rear seats of SUVs were able to enjoy the stunning sky of the Arctic.
The spirit of adventure, the desire for new discoveries and the desire to change the world for the better – all this is united by the Great Land project and the Land Rover brand. As part of this unique project, Land Rover will help residents of the Russian north discover new opportunities.
